When Nature Rules the Internet

Oh yes. It does. In its quiet way.
Consider a little blog page, left to fend for itself
for 4 long years since passing the last post.
Have you succeeded, little guy?

From minimal beginnings, a digital effigy of an age-old hero
posted by a starving artist, struggling to survive.
Haplessly hoping against hope that some of those Add-led links
might earn a few cents, as EconOmics are said to trickle down.

And now we find those ads are obsolete.
Or raised to a higher plane, I like to think.
Now, in their place, are images advising us
to all Fight Hunger together. Good idea!
I clicked the link, but it did not go anywhere.

So. Should I learn to post new ads & get with the program?
Might need to save my monet to buy a new computer first.
Oh wait, I spent it all on a box of colored pencils!
Back to work.

A clue from wikipedia:  (click  here) > "Monetization"
... with this footnote:

(demon--- ??? oh no!!!)
could it be RELIGIOUS?
See below . . .

Monetism is a doctrine central to many of the Greatest Faiths in the nation (& perhaps the world).

Monetism (or "monetizing" as it is sometimes termed) brings hope to many individuals who would otherwise be unhinged by unemployment, driven to despair by disappointment, & are only mildly-deranged by the kind of magical thinking that seems to be de rigeur in these troubled times.

Being one of those entities who doggedly perseveres in thinking impossible things (even if somewhat noncommittally) I thought I might try to enlarge my horizons & perhaps revive my frazzled faith by undertaking a preliminary abecedarian study of Monetism's authorized texts and sacred art. In accordance with the rites of orthodox propriety, this search began, of course, on the Internet.

These are my observations, so far:
- The more I search for answers, the more doubts & questions have been raised.
- Many of the strongest Monetist advocates appear to be marginalized.
- As in so many of the putative paths to truth, it seems that certain qualities that had once been considered virtues (reserve, discretion, desire for privacy) are looked askance at or dismissed by some of the stronger Monetists as "insufficient trust in a higher power" or even as forms of "false humility
... In any case, for many seekers of the truth, it appears (so far) that most of the vital mysteries of Monetism remain intangible.

* * * A Breakthrough* * *

I have recently learned that one of the most-essential early steps along the path to attainment in this religion is that the Aspirant be willing to ENABLE COOKIES.  And—amazingly— as luck (or providence!) would have it, I have actually been eating cookies every day since Christmas.

(I had planned to rein in this practice, once the holidays were over ~ but now, of course, must continue faithfully.)

Are there any secret societies within Monetism?

i'm not telling
